Synopsis:

Jessie Lim – Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition is established Singaporean ceramic artist Jessie Lim's largest showcase to date and her first major solo exhibition in more than 15 years. The exhibition traces the evolution of her sculptural practice, from early explorations of form to expressive abstract works that sit in the realm of fantasy.

The exhibition features her most extensive body of work yet, with over 200 pieces available for acquisition and a significant curated selection on display, reflecting Lim's instinctive approach to clay, her experimentation with texture and glaze, and her enduring contribution to Singapore's ceramic art landscape.

About the Artist:

Jessie Lim is an established Singaporean ceramic artist and educator with an international training background spanning the US, Italy and Asia. She has taught at LASALLE College of the Arts and the National University of Singapore, founded the Ceramics Department at the School of the Arts (SOTA), and exhibited widely across Asia and Europe. Her works are held in public and institutional collections in Singapore, including at the National Gallery Singapore and Singapore Art Museum.
