The Unskilled Boy aka Alex Lim launches CAT NATION — a vibrant, cat-themed series of 60 pop-art and abtract paintings–to mark International Cat Day and SG60. His paintings are a nod to the internet's enduring affection for its feline muse. With a wink to pop art and a soft spot for the everyday absurd, he blends storytelling with a gently offbeat humour, drawing scenes that feel at once familiar and faintly surreal.

CAT NATION is inspired by Carter, a rescued stray adopted by Alex's family, whose playful spirit sparked this project.​ Alex says: "I saw Carter's photo before he was fostered... he was skinny and small. It made me sad. Every cat needs love, and my paintings reimagine all the cats living in loving homes. I want to do my small part in helping them through my work."
