Synopsis:

Does Jawi (Malay writing system using Arabic script) still hold cultural significance in Singapore decades after the Roman script officially replaced it in 1956 as the official script of the Malay language?

Join us as we discuss the challenges and opportunities of Jawi's future with Dr Hirman Khamis. This session also features fun Jawi games and activities by members of Perikatan Tulisan Jawi Singapura (Jawi Writing Alliance of Singapore) — a great chance to learn more about this historic script!
