Synopsis:

Generasi Kesari (Generation of Lions) is a TIGA collective Malay Dance production produced by Dr. Noramin Farid, directed by Izwan Sarif and presenting new music compositions by Aryandi Ahmad. This second production by the collective pays tribute to the strength of youths and the fighting spirit within them as they embark on their rites of passage in search for their own identity and solidarity. Likened to that of a pride of lions who roam this earth in a pack, each member of the pride playing their part for the survival of their group. Generasi Kesari is an intergenerational initiative bringing together Malay dance choreographers of different generations together. Featuring new works by Izwan Sarif, Abdul Yazid Juhuri, Lyn Hanis Rezuan, 'Aizat Haikal Saini, Faiz Hairul Anuar, Anna Natassha Musa, Muhammad Izman Kamilan and Muhd Fawwaz Farok, this Malay dance production presents themes on unity, relationships, hopes and aspirations. A moment to reflect, to celebrate and to feel the power of camaraderie.
