Synopsis:
"Under the BIG Tree" is SCDT's highly enthused outdoor dance carnival. Located within the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Cultural Academy, the iconic big tree serves as a majestic backdrop to an evening of dazzling dance performances prepared by SCDT's company dancers Performance Troupes (Children, Junior, Youth), SCDT's training classes students as well as students of neighbouring schools.
Apart from dance performances, audiences can also look forward to a variety of fringe activities such as Chinese dance themed games, DIY props-making and more. Completing the carnival festivities are also a wide variety of savoury delights. Participants can bring along their own picnic mats for a one-of-a-kind picnic experience.
