Synopsis:

The Winter Players, a new Singaporean theatre collective, present the earliest dramatisation of the Faustian Legend.
Doctor John Faustus of Wittenberg is a proud academic who seems to have reached the end of knowledge, with few books left worth reading. Woeful that he was at the end of learning, he calls upon the demon, Mephistopheles to serve him and to reveal to him the deepest secrets of existence. With his newfound knowledge in the art of Magic, and with his tutor in the study of "unlawful" things, he attempts to transcend his own humanity. All in exchange for the affordable price of his soul.

Join us in Hell, where we shall perform the fate of Faustus's fortunes, good and bad. Where Faustus himself shall be temporarily relieved of his usual punishments, and be brought to the stage, to our adoring infernal cast.
