Synopsis:
"No mountain is too high;
no challenge is too great.
In this venture, I've found the mountain in me,
strong with courage."
Several individuals gather in a room, each carrying a personal challenge akin to conquering a mountain.
Among them are warriors recovering from knee, back, and ankle injuries, as well as those overcoming psychological challenges. They aspire to share their stories in a physical theatre setting. These stories could also be yours.
Perhaps you were once strong but faced a setback that tossed you into an abyss.
About 85% of the script emerged from the notes our artistic director penned during her months of recovery from a knee injury. A certified personal trainer and physical theatre practitioner, her time of immobilization led her to ponder how physical theatre training could be inclusive for more people in the community. Hence, "Give Me the Mountain" was born, encapsulating a journey marked by resilience and determination.
This physical theatre piece is for anyone with a "mountain" to embrace or conquer in life, whether it be mental or physical. Join us in confronting the "mountain" in our lives in "Give Me the Mountain"!
