Synopsis:

Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Haiou Zhang returns for his third Recital in Singapore featuring a selection of pieces by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann and Liszt.

Prepare to be transported to a world of rich sensations, emotional intensity and artistic brilliance with world-renowned pianist Haiou Zhang in his highly anticipated third recital in Singapore – Haiou Zhang will use his mastery of intrinsic performance to guide you on a fascinating journey from Bach to Beethoven, to Chopin, to Liszt through a landscape teeming with ethereal beauty, serenity and agitation, passion and nostalgia.

In this Grand Finale to C.Bechstein's 170th Anniversary Celebration Concert Series, Haiou Zhang breathes to life the masterworks of classical music's most prominent composers of every era on the C. Bechstein D282 Concert Grand Piano.

HAIOU ZHANG 张海鸥

Born in 1984 in China, Haiou Zhang first studied at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, before continuing at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media with Prof. Bernd Goetzke. Haiou Zhang launched his career in 2005/06 after numerous competition successes, and is heard regularly in concerts and interviews for various radio and television stations around the world. He has a strong presence in Germany's classical radio landscape at BR-Klassik, NDR Kultur, and Deutschlandradio Kultur to name a few.

Haiou Zhang is Music Director and Founder of International Music Festival Buxtehude / Altes Land / Harburg in Northern Germany, which is aimed primarily at young audiences. The festival has become one of the most successful classical music institutions in metropolitan Hamburg.

Haiou Zhang has brought to life and immortalised the illustrious works of master composers Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Liszt feature on 3 CD albums recorded by Zhang on the C. Bechstein D282 - "Liszt Piano Works" (2011), "Fingerprints" (2017), and "My 2020" (2021).
