Synopsis:

The Song and Yuan dynasties were a golden age for Chinese ceramics, with kilns across the country producing wares of exceptional quality and beauty. These highly prized ceramics in China were also exported to many other parts of the world, including Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The speaker will talk about the importance of ceramics in Chinese culture, the role of Song ceramics in Japanese tea ceremonies, and the influence of Song and Yuan ceramics on Vietnamese and Thai ceramics.
