First Aid Training Programme for Drama Educators

Synopsis:
SDEA, in partnership with the Singapore First Aid Training Centre (SFATC), has curated a First Aid Training Programme specifically for Drama Educators. This programme will comprise of 2 parts: (1) Child First Aid Course (fully certified course) and (2) Psychological First Aid (theory only).
(1) Child First Aid Course:
The Child First Aid Course covers all emergencies in children/infant and adult that can happen at home or at play. It includes special additional coverage of child safety topics to help the caregiver identify hazards and prevent accidents.
Trainees will undergo a 2-day classroom session with SFATC to complete the theory modules, practical modules and assessment.
Upon successful completion of the course, trainees will be certified for a period of 2 years in 3 modules – Standard First Aid, BCLS AED and Child First Aid by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council. The certification is recognised by the Early Childhood Development Agency.
(2) Psychological First Aid E-learning Course:
Psychological First Aid is the globally recommended training for supporting people during emergencies and offers guidance on delivering psychosocial care in the immediate aftermath of an emergency event. Our specialized training includes exclusive content and real-life case scenarios on managing situations of emotional distress including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, along with 8 Advance PFA Core Actions. This course will equip trainees with skills set to address both the psychological and social needs of people in society.
Trainees will be guided by SFATC to complete the theory modules of the course online via their e-learning portal. The online course will be made available to trainees 2 weeks before the Child First Aid Course. Trainees are to complete the online course at their own time.
Payment for First Aid Training Programme will be made directly to the Singapore First Aid Training Centre.
