Synopsis:

Join us for an evening of heart-felt inspiration and reflection at the exclusive charity screening of Oscar-shortlisted documentary and winner of the Woodstock Film Festival Best Short Documentary, As Far As They Can Run.

The film screening is followed closely by a special address from the film's director, Tanaz Eshaghian, and a panel discussion, Breaking Down Barriers: Building Inclusive Communities to Maximize Full Potential. The panelist line-up includes:

Salihin Nawi, Special Olympics athlete and Global Youth Leadership Council member
Noraini Amin, mother of three and passionate advocate for inclusion
Yuchi Huang, seasoned coach working closely with athletes with intellectual disabilities and Salihin's mentor
Joscelin Yeo, a four-time Olympian and Co-Founder of Into the Wild, which trains children in wilderness preparedness
Roman Matla, APAC Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Google

Pippa Woodhead, Head of Podcasts at Tigerhall, a Sequoia-backed social learning platform will moderate the discussion. Funds raised from the event will go towards levelling the playing field for people with intellectual disabilities through the various sports, health, education and leadership programs that Special Olympics champions as an inclusion movement.

About the Film
As Far As They Can Run from Iranian American director Tanaz Eshaghian, is an intimate portrait of three children with intellectual disabilities in rural Pakistan who are struggling to find acceptance and worth in their communities and manage to find some acceptance and a place in society through sports.
