Originally Resonance 2020: The Heart of Singing, an anniversary concert in celebration of EVOKX's 10th year in bringing people to choral music and vice versa, Resonance Reimagined: A Sequel, is EVOKX's return to the stage post pandemic disruptions; it is also the second of a trilogical concept that was hatched during the lock-down period in 2020.
With the support of the NAC Digital Presentation Grants, we produced Resonance Reimagined: A Prelude in 2021, a digital presentation of a collaborative art form between animation and choral music (check it out here). It was the first of a three-part series envisioned to promote local choral works to the bigger international audience.
Resonance Reimagined: A Sequel will be drawing links from part one of the series in the form of showcasing local choral compositions, in congruence and juxtaposition with choral works regularly performed by the international choral community. The highlight of the program is the premiere of several new works by Singaporean composers that were especially commissioned for this concert.
Join us, as we celebrate choral artistry through the evocative powers of communal singing.
