Synopsis:

In this talk, find out how water is distributed in the world (97% salt water in the oceans, 3% fresh water). Climate change is causing more extreme weather events such as droughts and extensive floods around the world – the talk will address the global water shortage and explore ways to conserve water. Be introduced to the concept of "Water Footprint", which determines the amount of water used to produce different types of products (e.g. food/ clothes). Participants will also get a glimpse on how to use a Water Foot Print Calculator. The talk will show different ways to save water at home and recommends lifestyle changes to conserve the water resources on the planet.
