Synopsis:
Why do we feel rootless?
Why do we feel like aliens on our land?
We created man-made things to protect ourselves from nature. Yet because of this, we are alienated from nature.
We are shaken, unplugged— how do we find our centre?
Through the relationship between man and sea, we seek to discover what it means to be an intricate part of nature. In be-ing, we attempt to draw strength from nature, and from that source, we discover how to be at ease in the sea of life.
In this rendition, 微 Wei Collective & Collaborators dives into the exploration of breath, within and outside of themselves. With the philosophy of "Space X Time X Material", the collective uses light, sound, and textures as the main medium for this performance, digging deeper, hoping to reconnect us city-dwellers back to a root— our breath.
