Synopsis:

Explore the subconscious realm of dreams in Tan Wei's Solo Exhibition, 'Indéfiniment', in which we go on a journey to otherworldly spaces straddling the line between dystopia and utopia.
The title of the exhibition is derived from the immutable qualities of the primordial ocean that takes center stage here as the artist meditate upon the affinity that we share with the ocean that has been the holding site of all life form through the magnitude of the ocean.

Here, the exhibition explores the liminality between arrival and departure whose lines are often blurred through these intangible spaces ranging from the distant ocean to the subconscious realm of dreams- such are the intangible spaces that forms the backdrop to Tan Wei's world of imagery in her search for answers in a journey unknown; of indeterminate time.

We conducted an interview with Tan Wei, winner of the 10th France + Singapore Photographic Arts Award (FSPAA). Discover the inspirations and process behind her solo exhibition, 'Indéfiniment' here: https://alliancefrancaise.org.sg/blog/our-blog-1/post/interview-with-tan-wei-14#/
