工作坊内容包括如何创造出引人入胜的叙事、塑造故事结构的技巧、怎么掌握故事节奏和语文应用等。通过这一系列的活动,参与者最后将在导师的指导下完成一份童书手稿。

这课程一共四个工作坊。工作坊通过Zoom平台进行。报名前,请阅读各条款并确认能参与所有日期。

Take the next step forward in becoming a children's book writer by participating in this workshop series designed to help you develop and hone your skills in writing middle grade books in Chinese.

Participants will learn more about the various elements that go into crafting an appealing narrative, as well as tips and techniques on story structure, pacing and language. Participants will be guided throughout the sessions to create a working story manuscript by the end of the programme.

This is a series of four workshops. Participants are required to

- Submit a story idea which they will work on in the course of the workshop
- Share what they hope to gain from the workshops
- Commit to all four sessions (17 , 24 November, 1 and 8 December 2021)

林哲璋,兒童文學博士, 也是位深受欢迎的台湾获奖作家。他曾获牧笛奖、两岸儿文奖、教育部文艺奖、文建会儿歌一百优选、好书大家读、九歌年度童话奖等奖项。出版作品包括 用点心学校系列、不偷懒小学系列、仙岛小学系列、屁屁超人系列、宠物功夫学校系列等。

Lin Che-chang is a popular, award-winning Taiwanese author. He has a PhD in children's literature. The writer of several best-selling children's book series, his works have garnered him a strong following amongst young readers in Taiwan.

Cancellation:

The workshop can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the workshop date if the minimum number of participants is not met.

About Beyond Words
Developing Children's Literature: Beyond Words is programme designed to develop middle grade writers in the Chinese, Malay and Tamil languages.

Beyond Words comprises a series of programmes, including talks, panels, workshops and mentorships which are intended to nurture middle grade writers in Chinese, Malay and Tamil with the potential to support the publication of selected manuscripts both in print and as digital and audio books.

This programme is supported by the National Arts Council of Singapore and Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who have attended the programmes are eligible to submit a manuscript for the mentorship scheme and for publication support.
