Synopsis:
Celebrating young and boundary-breaking talents, liTHE is T.H.E Second Company's annual showcase. Emerging out of a two-year incubation process, this year's programme features three works that speak to the turbulent nature of our times.
In The Remains of Being, Nah Jie Ying brings detail and emotional sensitivity to this ode to withering and regeneration. Goh Jia Yin and Maybelle Lek take off from their 2020 work-in-progress Re:Writing with When Five Encounter which explores tensions arising from duality. With a nod toward man's challenging relationship with nature, Kawayan by Klievert Jon Junia Mendoza evokes the flexibility and strength of bamboo which stands strong amidst calamities.
