Synopsis:

In conjunction with the current showcase #SGFASHIONNOW at ACM, the speakers will discuss contemporary Singapore fashion from the perspectives of fashion history, craft, and practice. Historian Nadya Wang will share about notable Singapore designers who have contributed to the Singapore fashion identity, including some whose works are on display in #SGFASHIONNOW. Designer Priscilla Shunmugam will share about her label Ong Shunmugam's 10-year journey, highlighting her design philosophy and practice through key collections and works. As discussant, curator Jackie Yoong will delve deeper into some salient points raised during the presentation.
