In 2022, The Production Bridging Initiative will be focusing its effort in grooming Production Managers, as an attempt to contribute to the current supply gap of production managers in the local theatre scene.
The programme will run in two cycles:
Cycle #1 1 December 2021 – 31 May 2022
Cycle #2 1 September 2022 – 28 February 2023
ONE applicant will be selected for each cycle.
In each cycle, the selected individual can acquire industry knowledge by working on a broad range of different programmes, from black box shows to outdoor community theatre performances. This will ensure the participant not only receives a broad range of management experience, but gets to hone the different and specific skill sets needed for the respective production types.
The candidate will work on TFP productions and programmes under the mentorship of Lam Dan Fong, a TFP Core Member and experienced Production Manager and Stage Manager. At the end of this programme, the individual should be an industry-ready practitioner, with sufficient experience and confidence to build up a strong career in production management.
Cycle #1 is now open for application.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
- Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the theatre industry (Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, Stage Manager)
- Reside in, or be able to relocate to, Singapore
- Have a strong desire to work in their selected department
- Carefully read through the instructions and submit a thoughtfully completed application
