Synopsis:

What better way to spend Wednesday than to sip on a series of curated wines, and muse over art and appreciation. Leading this event will be Andreas Balemi from Wine & Philosophy. Enjoy the new works in #TheSalonShow, which is ending 25 Jan 2020.

About the Speaker

Andreas Balemi (Lic. Phil. University of Zurich (Switzerland), National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan), DipWSET)

Andreas, founder of Wine & Philosophy, has been living in Asia for twenty years, first in Singapore, then in Hong Kong, and since 2016 back in Singapore. Before moving to the wine industry, he spent most of his career in insurance, a fascinating and enriching experience which has allowed him to be a direct witness to the extraordinary success story of Asia.

Along the way, he has also been able to cultivate his passions for wine and the arts. A graduate in Chinese Studies and Philosophy, he has been a life-long student of China's traditional culture as well as artistic avant-garde, and has been following global trends in the world of art both as a collector and engaged observer.

Equally enthusiastic about wine appreciation and connoisseurship, Andreas has tasted and studied wines for over 20 years, and to further develop his expertise and tasting skills, in 2016 he acquired the WSET Diploma, one of the highest professional qualifications in the wine industry. In 2018 he established Wine & Philosophy, a platform for the distribution of carefully selected wines, for wine appreciation and education in Singapore.
