Attention all crime fiction lovers! Get up-close with author Tan Ooi Boon at BookFest@Singapore 2019 as he talks about his book, "A British Serial Killer in Singapore" at this live reading and Q&A session.
"A British Serial Killer in Singapore: A True Story" shares the true story of the notorious body part murderer John Martin Scripps. Scripps, who picked up butchery skills while serving a prior prison term, went on a killing spree after his release. He is the first serial killer to be convicted in Singapore, slaughtering six victims before he was arrested, tried and hanged.
Mr Tan Ooi Boon is a legally trained writer who first broke Scripp's serial murders in March 1995. He is currently the Senior Vice-President at The Straits Times Press and ST Education.
