Synopsis:
Atrika Dance Company celebrates her 25th Anniversary (#ADC25) this year and what better way to commemorate the amazing feat by finally asking - What is Atrika?
The show will ask Mazlina and her two sons, Haziq and Afiq Noorazwa, what does Atrika really mean to them - personally? What does she represent after all these years? It will also honour the people, relationships and experiences that have played and will play (a) part in Atrika's history, journey and future.
10 years past, and then 20 and now 25, Atrika is now at a place where she keeps rediscovering herself. Being driven by the internal talents and dancers of the company, she has become essential in mirroring the modern Singaporean and what it means to always strive for being true to yourself first. She also reminds everyone that it's okay to be just you and that labels happen all the time but it's what you do with all these 'labels' and 'expectations' that truly make you, you.
At the end of it all, it's a self-reflection to not only the work makers but also everyone; what does it all really mean?
