Synopsis:
Emancipate yourself from the dire realities of our modern world
A Dream Of A Dream is a site-specific performance that confronts the morbid reality of a cycle of control over space in Singapore, a cycle which the ordinary individual is not a part of. Authorities determine what is public, private, allowed, illegal, destroyed, preserved, or archived, without the consultation of even consideration of citizens, habitants, or communities. Increasingly public space is not being very "public", and simultaneously individuals are slowly losing agency over their own private space. Thus we are called to ask ourselves - where is OUR space in this modern world?
This performance has been given venue support from The Substation, and we are grateful for their encouragement and belief in this! However, we still need help. Please support us on our Kickstarter campaign at the link provided! Every little helps, and all proceeds will go towards funding the expenses for A Dream Of A Dream and Thereabouts Theatre's projects in 2020.
