Synopsis:

Are you a socially-engaged artist and or arts administrator? Are you passionate about involving communities in your work? Join us for the Practical Approaches on Participatory Arts Workshop where you will learn practical skills when working with diverse communities, enhanced implementation of community-centric arts projects, and creative engagement techniques.

As part of our Arts@MacPherson initiative, we will be conducting a workshop for artists, designers and individuals who engages and works together with communities (e.g. seniors, families & children, etc.) through the arts! ⁣⁣⁣

The workshop aims to orientate the participant with the different concepts surrounding community participation, understand the tools behind what is participatory arts as well as to create opportunities to address neighbourhood issues through participatory arts. ⁣⁣⁣

The 1 and a half day workshop which will be held on 4 and 7 September 2019 will cover essential practical skills when working with diverse communities, how to design an arts programme as well as imparting useful participatory techniques! ⁣⁣⁣
