Synopsis:

The Yellow Ribbon Community Art & Poetry Exhibition (YRCAPE) will be taking place from 30 Aug 2019 to 8 Sep 2019 at the School of the Arts, Singapore (SOTA). Themed "Moving Forward Together", this is the first time where poems written by inmates will be shared with members of public.

Guest-of-Honour Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth will launch the exhibition, which started in 2007 as a rehabilitative platform for inmates to express their hopes, dreams and aspirations through art. YRCAPE aims to enable inmates to showcase their artistic talents to the larger community, and to build closer ties among inmates, ex-offenders and the community. This year's exhibition will include 100 art pieces and 23 poems created by 50 inmates in Changi Prison Complex.
