Synopsis:
Three young Singaporean artists, working largely in the medium of film and photography, will be exhibiting new works at URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) City Canvas, Singapore City Gallery from 3 Aug to 28 Aug 2019. The exhibition titled 'The City We Love' presents three different perspectives of city living - current, abstract, and imagined - inspired by the living conditions of Singapore.
The exhibition explores our current relationship to changing urban landscapes, proposes an observation of marks made in common spaces, and postulates an unrecorded past, present, and future. By utilising both familiar iconography and unconventional methods of presentation, the three artists, Dave Lim, Ernest Wu, and Sean Cham, explore the beauty and the experience of city living through their own unique lenses.
