Synopsis:
Apsaras Arts Dance Company presents two of its iconic dance productions for Singapore Night Festival 2019. Both of these performances will be presented daily on 29th, 30th and 31st August 2019 held at the Dhoby Ghaut Green Festival Village Stage (next to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station). Admission Free.
Sita's Magical Forest 6:45pm to 7:15pm Daily
In this children-friendly production, Sita recounts her adventures with the animals of the magical forest as depicted in the Ramayana tale, through storytelling and dance.
Anjaneyam - Hanuman's Ramayana | 8:30pm - 9:30pm Daily
ANJANEYAM is conceptualised as a cross-cultural production and is presented by a team of artists from around Asia. Produced by Apsaras Arts as an Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay co-production and first staged at Kalaa Utsavam - Indian Festival of Arts 2017. Featuring Artistes From Kalakshetra Foundation (India), The Indonesian Institute for the Arts Surakarta(Indonesia) and Apsaras Arts Dance Company (Singapore)
