Synopsis:
This series will review the next generation of artists that, inspired and informed by the Impressionists, started to explore new frontiers of art investigating further the properties and expressive qualities of line, pattern, form and color. They were seeking to depict rather subjective emotions and responses to their inner feelings.
Artists/Groups featured include Gauguin, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, Munch, Matisse, Die Brucke, Der Blaue Reiter, among others.
