Synopsis:
The Charm of Ink-Wash is Heng Artland's annual exhibition that features the beauty of Chinese ink-wash paintings on rice paper by established artists from Singapore, Malaysia and China. Striking the perfect balance between drawing and painting, the artworks are a showcase of technique amassed from years of discipline and practice. Viewers can expect to marvel at the colours and diluted tones of the ink-wash technique, whilst appreciating the deep thought and conceptualisation that background the essence of artistic creation. The artists who will be showing at this exhibition include Singapore pioneer artist Chen Wen Hsi, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) graduate Cheah Thien Soong, and renowned Beijing professor-artist Jia Youfu.
