Synopsis:

In this Mother's Day special, learn about Teochew kueh heritage and how to make traditional Teochew png kueh at this demonstration and hands-on session by Chef Müm Yoon, the Executive Chef of Yoon's Traditional Teochew Kueh, and her daughter Qara Yoon.

Listen to heartwarming stories of how Chef Müm Yoon went from making kueh for her family to selling them via social media to kueh lovers across Singapore! You can also sample her signature png kueh and rare cikak kueh, made with specially sourced cudweed, an aromatic herb which grows around rice paddies and fields. Joining the dynamic duo as emcee for the day is food writer and cookbook author Christopher Tan, who will share about local kueh heritage and culture, and the importance of passing on family kueh legacies.

Suitable for ages 13 and above. Limited spaces available.

Participants of the workshop can also enjoy a 15% discount on a special Mother's Day Tea Set for two (UP: $25) at Food for Thought. Treat your mom to updated takes on heritage food, including soft shell crab mantou sliders and pandan macarons!
