33 Auction is proud to announce that the 2018 Singapore Autumn Auction on Modern and Contemporary Art will commence on 4th Nov 2018 at 1:30 pm at Hilton Singapore, Grand Ballroom Level 3. The preview will be hosted at MoCA@Loewen between 2nd to 3rd Nov 2018 from 10am to 8pm, and on the 4th of Nov 2018 from 10am to 12 noon respectively.

As part of 33 Auction's ongoing focus on Modern Southeast Asian art masters, the sale will showcase the works of heavyweight Nanyang artists, Cheong Soo Pieng and Chen Wen Hsi. Other than Singapore's first generation artists, we are also pleased to include the works of Anthony Poon and Tan Swie Hian, whose paintings are much sought after, but difficult to come by in the market.

The upcoming auction will also feature two special shows: A Sale of Fine Chinese Classical Paintings gathers together exquisite works from diverse periods in China's illustrious ancient history. Coming from a single collection, they represent the highest parameters of artistic excellence that gave form to a refined aesthetic pursued by Modern Chinese ink painters to this day.

Another highlight in the sale, First Generation Singapore Sculptors features rarely seen masterpieces from our pioneer sculptors. The show brings together works by Iskandar Jalil, Ng Eng Teng, Brother Joseph McNally, and Chong Fah Cheong, all of whom exude unparalleled virtuosity over their chosen medium, shaped by decades of technical training.
