RSL's Breakthrough Qualification for Dance & Musical Theatre comes to Singapore! Introducing the Breakthrough Syllabus for Contemporary styles, RSL UK's Performance Arts Awards (PAA) Exams.

Catch RSL's Performance Arts Awards (PAA) Examiner Anna Rose on 5-Oct 2018 as she takes us on an in-depth look at the PAA Exams - what skills they assess, their benefits, how to prepare students for the exams, and how the PAA Exams prepare learners for real-life auditions in the Performing Arts world.

Find out all you need to know about the ins and outs for the PAA MUsical Theatre, Jazz Dance and Street Dance exams, from selecting performance repertoire, technical requirements, choreography choices to showcase each student, and more!

The session will touch on:

The RSL Performance Arts Awards (PAA) Syllabus Material in Musical Theatre, Street Dance, and Jazz Dance

An Overview of the PAA Exams Structure, Learning Outcomes, Marking and Assessment for each subject

A closer look at each technical requirement, tips on repertoire selection, and demonstrations for each aspect of the PAA examinations

This session is the ideal setting to introduce Instructors, Educators and Interested Students to this new and dynamic syllabus, and as a means of expanding their portfolio in Performing Arts Qualifications.

About the Speaker:

Anna trained as a dancer at The London Studio Centre and then as an actress at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she won the Chesterton award for Best Actress.

She has appeared in many theatre productions in both the West End and regionally. Highlights include: Olivia in Twelfth Night, Angela in Abigail's Party, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin in Aladdin, Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk, Ruth in The Norman Conquests ( UK and Malaysia) and Suzanne in The Sensualist. Anna's television and film appearances include Casualty, Inspector Morse, Eastenders, Grange Hill, The Dream Team and The Leading Man.

Over the last ten years Anna has devoted much of her time to directing musical theatre productions including; Mamma Mia, Grease, Matilda, High School Musical, The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast. Anna has taught drama and movement in schools and academies and also privately for many years. She teaches the Lamda, Trinity Guildhall and RADA Shakespeare curriculums. Through her own company, White Rose Theatre Arts, Anna runs drama workshops for children and teenagers all over the UK.
