Synopsis:

"Balloon: Thing to take meteoric observations and commit suicide with." - Mark Twain

'BELON', a Malay word for balloon, explores the paradoxical nature of art. Its purpose is to occupy and engage that place of in-betweenness.

P7:1SMA aims to bring an appreciation of artistic practices driven by our Asian histories and traditions to a wider audience in Singapore. Here's a chance to experience an excerpt of BELON that was crafted by Norhaizad Adam in 2016 after experiencing ATLAS Residency for ImPulsTanz 2015. Then, let's dialogue about local contemporary exploration inspired by our Malay roots.
