Synopsis:

An ongoing preview in a special exhibition held by X EDITION in Singapore is showcasing Photographs by Almarhum Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, late king and pioneer of modern Malaysian photography. X EDITION 2018 - Asia's Largest Photography Hotel Art Fair, seeks to provide a platform where international photographers, art galleries and art lovers can come together to share their love of art and photography which transcends race and cultures.

Raja Ihsan Shah, who is the custodian of his grandfather's photography archives, is pleased to present Sultan Ismail's contribution to the Malaysian photography narrative with a photo series of a Marang fishing village taken back in the 1950s. From street vendors at Tepoh Market to picnic scenes and speedboat rides down the Terengganu Rivers, Sultan Ismail always found beauty in his surroundings.

The full photo series will also be open to public at the inaugural X EDITION, featuring up to 50 leading regional and international art galleries and photographers from around the world. Held in conjunction with Singapore's F1 Season from 6-9 September at the Regent Hotel, X EDITION aims to showcase the vibrant culture and diversity of photo art. Admission is free.
