Synopsis:

33 Auction is proud to present our 2018 Singapore Art Week Auction on Modern and Contemporary Art. The auction will commence on 4th February 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Grand Hyatt Singapore. The preview is to be held at MoCA@Loewen between 25th January to 28th January and 2nd to 3rd February 2018 (10 am – 8 pm).

On offer in this Art Week Auction is a comprehensive range of works by some of the best known artists around the world. The well-curated selection may be roughly divided into Singapore Art, Chinese Contemporary Art, American Modern Art, as well as Indonesian Modern Art.

Following the success of our 2017 Autumn Auction, where we had the honor of setting 3 world records for artist Anthony Poon, this Art Week Auction will once again feature 3 rare paintings from his acclaimed Wave and Frequency series. Other than perennial favourites like Cheong Soo Pieng and Iskandar Jalil, 33 Auction is pleased to present works by the late pioneer sculptor of Singapore, Ng Eng Teng.

We are also pleased to include a selection of works by outstanding Chinese contemporary artists, which includes the likes of Xin Dongwang, Chen Junde, Li Fuyuan, and more. Together, these artists represent the best fruition of unrelenting artistic innovation from the amalgamation of Western and Eastern art traditions.
