Synopsis:

This will be performing a triple-bill programme in Singapore this coming December. It will be a performance that intertwines classical and experimental, mythical and modern.

In Justyne's solo, Dance Internship II, she attempts to be a "dance-intern". The dance-intern found a range of emotions when her body compromises with the Earth's physicality. The internship is a game, a lesson, a source of joy. The tap solo of Tan-ki with the music Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, shows how the music is played by the body and how the dance can be heard.

The Galatea X by the couple originates from a Greek myth, in which the sculptor Pygmalion falls in love with his own creation Galatea, a statue. The straightforward plot says something about the nature of artistic creation and the essence of life. The creation has the potential to interact, and henceforth transform, its creator. Such intriguing transformation is irreversible, so is the metamorphosis of this dance work. If Pygmalion is refining Galatea with his hands, Justyne and Tan-ki are perfecting Galatea X with their bodies.
