Synopsis:

'Spaces of Sanctity: Sacred Monuments of Singapore in Fine Art' will be the major exhibition of the year in Singapore by Gnani Arts, one of Singapore's leading art galleries (established in 2003). Under the curation of Singapore-born senior curator Vidhya Gnana Gouresan, this is indeed a site-specific exhibition whereby the 'site' denotes the physical realm of Singapore and 'space' is celebrated through monuments or places that are very subjectively but meaningfully deemed as sacred by each of the 12 dedicated artists of this exhibition. Regardless of race or religion, sacredness and sanctity have secular, poignant and personal tendencies. The exhibition is a creative celebration of these beautiful tendencies, with the Lion City as the ruling motivation.
