Synopsis:

An Open Space
The meditative space invites visitors to slow down their pace, drink tea, interact and experience the space put together by us. We hope to introduce an open space where visitors could rest into their state of mind.

A Performance
Nine Years Theatre Studio is situated in an old history building. It has witnessed and embodied rehearsals and trainings over the years. It has also embedded the breaths of many artists and their presence. We would like to explore how such a space, with its potential of an invisible energy and breath, can inform us of our artistic creation. The elements in the space will adjust and inform decisions in the installation and performance. The airflow, movement of light, heat and humidity would be raw materials in the space that we are working with to bring about the performance.

About Wei Collective
微 . Wei Collective is formed by theatre practitioners Neo Hai Bin and Liu Yong Huay in 2017. They are interested in the performance of space, and how material and movement can allow one to experience a breathing space. They believe in taking time and diving into the overlooked, the subtle, the negligible, and find depth in the details.
