The Pursuit of Happiness is an exhibition by the Singapore Association of Minhwa Art (SAMA). Featuring 11 artists from its members, Minhwa is a long lasting tradition of folk paintings which is recognized as a valuable art form, and one that represents the life of the Korean people during the Joseon dynasty.
On 23 August, there will be a seminar which will introduce Korean Minhwa Art to the public. There will also be two workshops available for the public to participate in. This marks the first official exhibition of Korean Minhwa Art by the 11 SAMA members.
The Pursuit of Happiness will be displayed at the ION Art gallery from 22-27 August 2017.
