Synopsis:

Several life-sized murals, which express the romance of "places and moments... that blend sights, sounds, smell and tastes", have captured the imagination of those who have travelled to heritage neighbourhoods such as Kampong Glam and Tiong Bahru.

These were designed and painted by Yip Yew Chong, an accountant who completed his first public mural in August 2015.

Hear from Yew Chong as he discusses his hopes of documenting Singapore's history and heritage through his murals, the behind-the-scenes of creating these works, and his interesting encounters with people in the process.

Visitors can also enjoy a selection of Yew Chong's artworks, which are presented as a multimedia installation in Gallery10 at the National Museum of Singapore, from 28 April to 31 July 2017.
