Synopsis:

When a hero drove away an evil king, he was crowned as the new king, and a feast was prepared. But when the new king ate the food, he was struck with a terrible curse! In his anger, the new king punished the villagers severely. The villagers became afraid of their new king, and the new king grew fearful of the villagers as well. Soon after, the old evil king is sighted on the seas, returning with an army.

Will our hero be able to live harmoniously with the people, and bring peace to the land?

The Fearful King is performed with newly developed puppets based on the traditional 'Wayang' puppetry. Inspired by the friendship of an Indonesian Sultan and a Portuguese Explorer in the 16th Century, join us as we overcome cultural differences and triumph over discrimination and prejudice.
