Synopsis:

Held in November 2016, Narrative Frames is a PRESSPLAY mentorship programme conducted in partnership with Marc Nair. Held across seven weeks, participants of this programme were tasked to write, perform and film a series of spoken word videos.
As we debut their works in this session, our participants will also share their creative process of writing, shooting and editing their Narrative Frames projects.

About the Mentor:
Marc Nair is a poet and photographer from Singapore. He has published six volumes of poetry and has been featured in numerous anthologies both print and online.

A seasoned poetry slammer, he has performed spoken word for over ten years in more than ten countries and has represented Singapore in international competitions. He is also a founding member of local spoken word troupe Party Action People.

Marc was the 2015 Writer-In-Residence at Gardens by the Bay and is the 2016 NTU-NAC National Writer in Residence. He is a recipient of the 2016 Young Artist Award.

This programme is part of the National Library Board's PRESSPLAY, an annual youth festival aimed to celebrate the impact of arts in young people's lives. Now in its fourth year running, PRESSPLAY collaborates with local studios, independent artisans and design collectives to offer a myriad of arts programmes from 14 Jan - 18 Mar 2017.
