Synopsis:

NUS Symphony Orchestra once again presents Miniatures, its annual concert series which showcases chamber music groups and ensembles formed by the orchestra members. This 2017 edition of Miniatures will showcase students from NUS Symphony Orchestra and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music performing a collection of chamber pieces on the theme of 'War & Peace' and will feature Mendelssohn's Overture in C for Winds, Holst's Mars, Bringer of War on brass ensemble and an unusual contemporary arrangement of Jay Chou's Chrysanthemum Terrace on the guzheng and string orchestra.

Miniatures is part of the ExxonMobil Campus Concerts series.
