Synopsis:
In conjunction with the Malay language month event in September, Bulan Bahasa, The Kaizen M.D. presents Dondang Rakyat, a 90-minute lecture performance by local singer-songwriter, Mohd Khair Mohd Yasin (Khair Yasin).
In this program, Khair Yasin will be sharing with participants on the basics of lyric writing and highlight the importance of themes and symbols that can be used. Participants of this workshop will be given time to create verses based on a theme given.
Accompanied by singer, Bakti Khair, musicians from Nobat Kota Singa and facilitators from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Malay Drama Club; Sri Nadi, Khair Yasin will select and perform the verses live.
This program is suitable for 15 years and above and will be conducted in Malay language.
