Synopsis:
Singapore Rhapsodies – The Concert 2016 hits Singapore's music calendar on the scenic lawns of Sentosa's Palawan Green in end August.
An inaugural music festival that celebrates the best of emerging musicians and pop talents, Singapore Rhapsodies perpetuates the momentum of the Sing50 concert, one of Singapore's major golden jubilee events last year to showcase the rich diversity of Singapore's music heritage.
With a lineup of exciting homegrown acts such as Charlie Lim, Daphne Khoo, Nathan Hartono, Take Two and talented student performers from Singapore Rhapsodies the weekly Friday music series held at National Gallery, the concert offers a platform for our up-and-coming artistes to expand their reach into the community and foster appreciation of original creations by our local musicians.
Set in a carnival – picnic like atmosphere, this is a music festival with exciting activities to appeal to the entire family! Youth beneficiaries of The Business Times Budding Artists Fund will add their artistic touch to the venue and an array of interesting curios will be on display in an art market curated by our art market vendor, Togetherly.
