Synopsis:
Immerse yourself in an alternative reflective workshop with Duets Do-It!
Have you ever encountered a dance version of a problem sum? A puzzle, in partner-dance form? In this workshop, we will find ways to dance together through an inquiry-driven process. We will explore partner movement, based on both physical contact in the moment of dancing, and verbal communication before, after and during dancing. There will be mysteries to solve, negotiations to dance through, communication and miscommunication. No prior dance experience needed, just come prepared to dance and talk! This workshop is rooted in Kai's and Faye's practice of Contact Improvisation.
Participants are encouraged to sign up as a pair. If you prefer for the organiser to arrange a partner for you, please indicate this in your registration.
