Synopsis:
Welcome to the second edition of the Swedish Film Festival in 2017! This year we are presenting to you the unusual and touching works of contemporary Swedish master, Roy Andersson with 5 of his films including the highly-anticipated Singapore premiere of his latest and most lauded, A PIGEON SAT ON A BRANCH ON REFLECTING EXISTENCE.
The contemporary selections this year are of course nothing to trifled with, with Lukas Moodysson's (SHOW ME LOVE, LILYA-4-EVER) tween punk gurl-power comedy, WE ARE THE BEST!, NICE PEOPLE, a real-life "Cool Runnings" story about a Somali ice hockey team and A SEPARATION, a gritty documentary about divorce Swedish style.
The Swedish Film Festival is curated and presented by The Projector and supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Singapore and the Swedish Institute.
