Synopsis:

Duo Steiner-Hochwartner returns to YST to present a programme of songs of comfort for trombone and piano!

Comprising Italian trombonist Peter Steiner and Austrian organist and pianist Constanze Hochwartner, the pair began collaborating and formed the Duo in 2017. Since their debut, the Duo have toured the world, performing diverse and virtuosic programmes in the United States, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia.

Look forward to soothing melodies for trombone and piano, featuring timeless pieces from the classical repertoire such as Bach's Ave Maria and Beethoven's Für Elise, as well as more contemporary works by composers such as Dimitri Cervo, Karl Jenkins and Andrew Skaggs — performed as a Duo and as an ensemble with students from the YST Trombone Choir.

Peter Steiner also conducts a trombone masterclass with YST students earlier in the week:
