The PAssionArts festivities will keep Marsiling residents delighted in a two-part programme held in conjunction with Bulan Bahasa (Malay Language Month) @ Marsiling.
The Day Programme offers a vibrant showcase of the Malay culture, featuring performances and exhibitions from various schools. Explore the beauty of the Malay culture through mini traditional flower arrangements, traditional games, wedding & henna painting, Jawi script calligraphy and a batik painting & songket exhibition.
Catch performances by Sri Mahligai, a Malay folk ensemble, and Malay folk song and dance items presented by Marsiling Primary School and Marsiling Secondary School.
The Night Programme continues to invite residents to immerse themselves in the richness of Malay culture through engaging booths and interactive experiences. At the Kompang Booth, participants can enjoy live demonstrations of this traditional drumming art and even try their hand at playing alongside experts. The Dikir Barat Booth offers dynamic live performances, where residents can explore the storytelling element of this captivating art form. Residents can delve into the vibrant heritage with live demonstrations of Jawi writing, an ancient script central to Malay literature.
