Synopsis:
Gazing upon Lee Jung Woong work for the first time, it is hard to tell if one is looking at a painting or a photograph. His hyper-realistic painting featuring an Oriental brush in mid-motion is arresting, yet contemplative at the same time.
This October, Ode to Art will be featuring 15 new works by Lee, titled Control in Spontaneity, as part of his newer Brush – Blue series. On display from 7 October till 7 November in the gallery at Raffles City Shopping Centre, visitors will get to experience Lee's mastery in trompe l'oeil first hand. Lee's iconic hyper-realistic Brush series has found success all over the world; his works were exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions and featured in auctions by Sothebys and Christies.
